DIRECTOR’S NOTE

“It’s gonna be good! It’s gonna be good!”

This is what I found myself singing throughout this process. Whether at the beginning, when I wasn’t quite sure of myself, or in the middle when we would hit a snag or two, or towards the end when I really started to believe it. It’s a mantra that has helped me see the finish line. 

I’ve learned so much during this process. How to be a stronger leader, how to work even more collaboratively, and how to let go. 

I want to thank Randy, for believing in me and always pushing me forward. I’m thankful to have a close colleague that sees more in me than I sometimes see in myself. I want to thank this amazingly talented cast and crew for working with me to bring this story to life. Special thanks to Tosha for her creative vision, Mike for his great Musical Direction, and Candace for being my right hand. 

Thank you for being in this space with us. Thank you for taking this journey with us. My hope is that you leave with a new, or renewed perspective of grace, and how we can handle each other with it, intentionally.

Life can be tough. Life can be unfair. I’m grateful that we have art. I’m grateful that we have each other. If you’re in a valley, and can’t see your way out right now, one day, there will be light. One day, it’s gonna be good again. Believe me.
